The inaugural issue of the Journal of Transformative Primary Education (JOTPE), Volume 1 Number 1, presents a collection of studies highlighting innovation and transformation in primary education. The articles explore topics such as interactive learning media using Genially, teachers’ readiness to integrate digital technology in the Merdeka Curriculum, the cultivation of students’ religious character through school culture, the use of SDGs-based Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance visual literacy, and the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes.
This issue features contributions from authors affiliated with leading Indonesian universities, including Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Padang, and Institut Pendidikan Tapanuli Selatan. Through these publications, JOTPE reaffirms its commitment to disseminating high-quality research that promotes innovation, character development, and transformative practices in primary education.

Journal of Transformative Primary Education is a peer-reviewed open-access journal managed by Nalatama Research Center that serves as a platform for scholarly dialogue and dissemination of educational research and analysis. This journal aims to contribute to the advancement of education by publishing high-quality articles that explore theoretical perspectives, research findings, and practical innovations in the field.

The scope of Journal of Transformative Primary Education includes a wide range of educational topics in urban, such as curriculum and instruction, learning assessment, educational policy, digital and inclusive education, teacher professional development, early childhood to higher education, educational psychology, and classroom-based action research. It welcomes manuscripts that apply rigorous scientific methods and offer new insights or solutions to current educational challenges.

The journal accepts original empirical research articles, theoretical papers, and literature reviews that align with its focus areas. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism. Submissions are processed through the Open Journal System (OJS) and must adhere to the journal’s author guidelines and formatting requirements. Each submission undergoes a double-blind peer review by experts in relevant educational fields.
