Journal History

JACOBS: Journal of Applied in Cognitive Behavioral Science was founded in March 2025 under the management of the Nalatama Research Center and is published by Nalatama Publication (PT. Nalatama Solusi Berdaya).

The journal was established to provide a dedicated, open-access venue for applied research in psychology and the behavioral sciences. It responds to the growing body of intervention, assessment, and wellbeing research produced by psychologists, counselors, educators, and health professionals in Indonesia, much of which had limited access to rigorous outlets focused on application. From the outset, JACOBS has committed itself to a rigorous double-blind peer review system and has published its articles under a Creative Commons license. Manuscripts are accepted in English and Indonesian.

The inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1, was published in July 2025 and contained six articles on career counseling, rational emotive behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused intervention, social skills training, and the validation of an organizational wellbeing instrument. Since Volume 2 (2026), the journal has appeared twice a year, in January and July, with each calendar year forming one volume.
